Living Values Education Distance Facilitator Training– Certificated Course.

DFT allows individuals to have a role in sharing Living Values Education. In addition to a full interaction with all aspects of Living Values Education, the website, resources, 20 years of Values based background of knowledge and materials, we provide facilitator delivery techniques, group management skills required to feel more confident to facilitate activities and workshops using Living Values Education with community groups, schools, families etc.

The DFT is a composite of the above one, two and three self-help distance programmes. On Application – proof (copies) of prior engagement for 12 consecutive weeks Self Reflection and completed TWO ONLY Home Study Values activities per week in the Personal Journal are required to accompany the Application Form.

On acceptance, participants engage/reading the “DFT Part 1. Facilitator Training Guide” for learning LVE facilitation/delivery skills and group management, LVE awareness organisation understanding, agenda building and resources.(1-3 hours).

This new learning is self-evaluated by engaging the questions in the “DFT Part 2. Evaluation Questions and Agenda” booklet (in Word) and sent to your support mentor. Participants are now ready to create their first Group facilitation experience.

Practical application, using the LVE 12 week self-development “Study Group Guide “Guidelines for an Effective Group" provides all is required to bring a group together – promoting the Living Values Study Group in your community, finding the venue, structure of the 2 hour session each week, the do's and don'ts of dealing with misbehaviour and group dynamic, setting the scene and creating a Values based Atmosphere.

This is followed by practical application of LVE facilitation with your 12 week Study Group, one night per week. Your session with 8-10 friends, family, work colleagues or community members will be identical based on the same questions you asked yourself and the two Home Study group activities each week. A trained support person is allocated throughout the 12-week programme to assist the participant.

DFT Certification is provided equal to that of those who attend the regular required three, 3 day LVE group workshops. (72 hours)

Ongoing:  For full LVE Trainer certification attendance and co-facilitation is encouraged within 12 months at one 5-day combination workshop and TTT (Train the Trainer) with the local ALIVE Associate or Focal Point for Living Values Education.

·         Components: Distance Facilitator Training Package, plus supporting Living Values Education Rainbow Booklet Series, a library of self-help booklets and the “Gathering Momentum” support newsletter for distant facilitators with news and ideas for expanding their outreach activities.

·         Also available – membership to LVE Working Groups and LVE regional organisations.

Please Note:   While we would like everyone to experience values, it is our facilitators around the world who will widen the reach in the long term. DFT is primarily in support for those away from access of Living Values workshops and trainers who desire to join LVE in a formal facilitator role to assist others in their need for Values Awareness and for their own personal growth.

Joining Living Values in the role of a potential facilitator is a significant step in personal growth and absorbing new skills in interpersonal relationships.  Acceptance is not a given, requiring assurance from participants that this is a seriously considered and accepted initiative and that adequate time has been allowed in their lives for the 12-week undertaking.

Participation for the DFT is by application with candidates having to be being approved before allowed participation. The LVE certificated Course is not for everyone.  We encourage those wanting to have the personal benefits only to undertake the free downloadable Distance components which are available on the website.

The Course over 12 consecutive weeks is demanding of time (min 2- 4 hours) per week with personal interaction, requiring responsive action by the participants throughout and interaction with their trained LVE support person/mentor who evaluates progress to certification level. Certification as a Living Values Distance Facilitator is only available on successful completion within the time frame allocated.
